This movie rules! I’m a gigantic fan of the book, and I can say that the movie really does it justice. The whole tale involves a group of kids, all “losers”, drawn together by a supernatural force to confront an stale corrupt that takes the acquire of a malignant clown.

Tim Curry was, I mediate, born to play Pennywise the Clown. Sadistic, waddling freak with his doughy, grinning white face, red wet lips stetched as wide as his ears. In his clown obtain, he is able to charm the younger kinds, but he becomes the fears of the older ones, taking them down into his sewer dungeon to feed on them. The kids that finally beat the monster, Vast Bill and Haystack and Bev and the rest of the Loser’s Club, manage to force It befriend into It’s lair, not tedious, but nearly mortally wounded….

Driven by a feeding cycle, It rises again decades later, and the Loser’s Club, now forgotten in adulthood, is drawn encourage together to face the monster one final time. This was originally made-for-television, so the movie is only agreeable of so mighty, but I judge that fact alone gives the movie special merit. The casting was radiant powerful dead-on (especially in the case of Pennywise) and the special effects were surprisingly expedient. Probably the fact that the film makers were incapable of going the hack-and-slash rated-R route helped to improve the suspense and the atmosphere. The book was stout, and the movie was vast. I would recommend them both. I contemplate that the humble perfection of a classic superb versus noxious record can sometimes be overlooked. The purity of a narrative in which you can easily lose yourself. And that’s fair what It is. Two tall thumbs up from me.

This movie I own was one of the first mini series I have seen by Stephen King. I watched from inaugurate to carry out I was so keen in the kids in this film. Two who are played by approved actor’s today Seth Green (Young Richie Tozer), and Jonathan Brandis (Young Bill Denbrough) . The children band together and call themselves “The Looser’s Club” they face being different from their classmates and they also face their parents. But what they must ultmiately face is the monster who kills children called “Pennywise the Clown.” Together and only together as a team can they defeat the monster.

In the first half of the film we learn of the Clown (Played by the large Tim Curry) and the history with the town of Derry, Maine. We glimpse the kids meeting for the first time and the fun they all have. But the serious times comes when they band together to stand up for themselves against a few of the classmates namly Henry Bowers who likes to torment the other kids in the school. They then near together to earn a circle and defeat the clown/monster. With a promise that if it wasn’t listless they would all reach abet to waste it.

In the second portion of the film we seek whats happened to them career wise and care for life wise. Its a tad slower, but it is definately silly and has its serious moments as well. The kids all grown up are now played by a sizable cast: Henry Anderson (Richie Tozer), Dennis Christopher (Eddie Kaspbrak), Richard Masur (Stan Uris), Annette O’ Toole (Beverly Marsh), John Ritter (Ben Hascom), Tim Reid (Mike Hanlon), and Richard Thomas as (Bill Denbrough) . Again the second section starts off listless. But its fun to spy them all advance together again. And to try and remember the excellent and terrible times and defeat the “clown.”

I was very great eager to spy Stephen King exercise children to gain in this monster to where the adults couldn’t. It’s also arresting to perceive this sort of similarity in some of his other where the children are the key. Which I rep really large in a diagram. This movie did; however, really turn me off of clowns. So it does have its glide factor in the movie. I would definately recommend it! Athough the book does give more big detail and is better, and the book is different in most parts. But for a mini series this was my first treasure of Stephen King.

A film by James Moll

Winner of the 1998 Academy Award for Best Documentary

I do not feel that I have the words to adequately recount this film and my reaction to it. I have seen “Schindler’s List”, it is a remarkable, haunting film. While it is based on a steady event of the Shoah, it is unexcited a fictional film. There are actors playing parts and despite the brutality we perceive in the movie, everyone goes home at the slay of the day. What makes “The Last Days” so remarkable more grand is that the five important interviewees are survivors of the Holocaust. They are telling their stories of their lives and their experiences of Hitler’s Final Solution. There is proper video footage, and photographs from the time, and it is calm unsightly to hear and to glimpse, and I would suggest that it remains considerable to hear and to leer.

This is the sage of five Jews from Hungary. They dispute of their experiences before, during, and after the war. They were all in various camps: Auschwitz, Dachau, Buchenwald, Bergen-Belsen. Their stories are amazing, and since the stories are being told by the men and women who experienced the Holocaust, they are all the more worthy. We learn how they were rounded up and assign into the remark cars, what they view, why they didn’t actively resist, and what happened to the rest of their families. We also score to witness them each go aid for the first time to the concentration camps they were held in. They are with their children, and are revealing petite details, mostly painful, as they remember them. One man, as he walks through the gates says that even after all these years, the memories are unprejudiced as modern as when he was a prisoner.

I don’t feel that my description does this film justice. It is a radiant, considerable, and ultimately principal movie. Despite the fact that we may have heard various stories of the Holocaust over the years, we detached need to hear these stories because blooming soon there will be nobody left alive who lived through it, and these stories will be all that is left. These are principal stories, and “The Last Days” does an exceptional job at telling these five stories.

This documentary of five Hungarian survivors of the holocaust is not a comfortable movie to notice. We cannot do possess that it is an re-enactment by actors; we are not distanced from it by the general news clips. Instead, this tightly edited film brings five individual stories of right people to the veil with a scorching reality. In the last six months of WWII, Hitler concentrated his resources in deporting 440,000 Hungarian Jews even after he knew the war was lost. The five people in the documentary, then teenagers, were caught up in this brutal chapter of history, and each one tells his or her narrative against a backdrop of rare footage of films that were taken by the Nazis. Now in their tedious 60s and 70s, each one of these survivors, surrounded by loving families, visit the scene of the devastation, and deny their stories.

Steven Spielberg is the executive producer of this minute gem of a film, a memorial to the inappropriate truth, and I am determined it is his name which brings this film to movie theaters, where I first saw this film. The theater complex on had only two showings — at noon and at 4:55 p.m. I cannot encourage but wonder why it was deemed unfit for Saturday night viewing, because every seat was taken in the limited theater. I cried, and heard the sobbing of the people around me. It was that kind of film. The human beings on the mask were so staunch. Their stories so suitable. Their lives so shattered. And then rebuilt. A living testimony to the survival of the human spirit. It’s a testimony also of what can be done with film. How a history can be preserved. How snapshots of staunch life can be recorded. As I left the theater, my eyes swollen from crying, my soul sick from what I have objective seen, there were lines of people waiting to come by into behold the latest romantic comedy, the newest thriller, the silliest cartoons. My heart was detached beating wildly as I gulped the unusual air outside the theater and walked slowly home, the awe and the history calm touching my raw nerves. I cannot support but reflect about the other dark stories in history that sob out to be memorialized in this device. And the fact that without a tall name like Spielberg, or the good funding, these stories will never be told. But why do we need to know? What capable does it do? How can it change our lives to relive over and over again the many atrocities of humankind? The retort lives in the perspective it gives us as we go about our lives. We are only a allotment of the continuum of history. It is luck or karma or fair the random winds of life that give us our lives of abundance. And when I discontinue, and assume about it seriously, I can only give thanks for my extraordinary life.

I saw this film in the theater when it was originally released in 1983 and it has been one of my favorites ever since. What is incredible is that it bombed at the box office and was panned by the critics. This movie is hilarious, and has to be seen in the Monty Python frame of mind. Chapman is priceless, Madeline Kahn is unforgettable, John Cleese is shiny, Cheech and Chong are hilarious, and Marty Feldman is a silly genius. I have friends over every year to peruse this film and it’s become a “Rocky Scare Portray prove” type of event complete with costumes, antics, quote contests, and other silliness. It is a shame this isn’t available on DVD. Most of the VHS versions were awful quality, and my copy is certainly on its last legs. If you delight in Monty Python, this definitely belongs in your collection while it’s composed somewhat available.

This movie is far under-rated in the realm of the Python movies. Seems to me it didn’t come by enough PR or something because as a comedy film alone it is hilarious. It stars Graham Chapman (Yellowbead a improper, unfriendly, out of touch, murderous pirate that kills anyone that gets in the contrivance of his killing anyone), John Cleese (Blind Pew who has the most acute hearing in the world), Eric Indolent, Marty Feldman, Cheech and Chong (Spanish morons), Madeline Kahn (the unfaithful Mrs. Yellowbeard), Peter Boyle (Yellowbeard’s adversary and mature ship-mate, Moon), and James Mason (a cruely laughable, overly sadastic, crude Mutiny on the Bounty captain type) . It is place in the year 1707 and starts out with Yellowbeard nearing his release after 15 years in an English prison, and of course everyone wants to know where Yellowbeard hid his pirate cherish. Yellowbeard escapes the prison after his sentence is unfairly increased (to derive him furious enough to race on purpose) fair before his parole and the rest movie is based on his attempt to avoid beng imprisoned again while being chased by the limp-wristed British authorities and going on a comic non-sensical killing, raping (because he likes rape) and pilliging rampage tryng to recover the admire he hid so long ago. Of course the British authorities and Moon are after the admire too :) This is a classic and should have been released on DVD a long time ago. This is Python stuff at it’s best with the nastiest Python humor anywhere! Someone please remove up on it and do a DVD of it soon as I have only archaic rental resale VHS version (accch!) copy of it and would like to observe it as it was meant to be seen- clearly and with pleasant THX sound.

Enormously spicy, and extremely enlightening, Inside Deep Throat is so remarkable more than fair a documentary on the 1972 skin flick Deep Throat. The film also presents - in often candid and lurid detail - the proper and censorship battles - that have constantly defined American accepted culture for more than thirty years. In one pivotal scene, an elderly woman is asked why she went to inspect Deep Throat, and she replies by saying that she wanted to peep a dirty movie, she enjoyed it, and that she didn’t want government or anyone else dictating what she should or shouldn’t peek.

Herein lies the famous argument of this colorfully exciting, sexually explicit, and occasionally perceptive movie that takes the viewer on a trudge from the innocence of the early seventies, through the tumultuous, politically wrought censorship battles of the eighties, to the indicate day where the adult film business is now a multi-million dollar industry, and where professionalism and money seem to be the name of the game.

Inside Deep Throat uses a mixture of new footage from the film, interviews with the people who made Deep Throat, and questions a number of counterculture types, such as Gore Vidal, John Walters, and Annie Sprinkle, who comment on the effects of the film, past and point to. Divided into two definite parts: the first half is about the making of the film, while the second deals the ramifications of its release, the achieve Deep Throat ultimately had on its stars, and the U.S. Government’s desperate, and often successful attempts to have the film banned.

It’s probably a bit of a stretch to say that Deep Throat single-handedly changed the nature of the industry. But the film definitely served a purpose and came along at a time when the sexual revolution was changing the intention people opinion about sexual activity. After hearing Johnny Carson’s jokes about the movie on the Tonight Exhibit - middle-aged, older, and intrigued suburbanites would line up at seedy theatres all across the country unprejudiced to score a behold of Linda Lovelace’s oral abilities. An act that had previously been considered an obscenity and socially forbidden, had now gained a glimmer of respectability- the Unique York Times even labeled the movie the recent “porn chic.”

Inside deep Throat does a sizable job of showing how the movie’s fame and notoriety ultimately lead to the victimization and ill treatment of its stars. Linda Lovelace spent her life constantly vacillating between being proud of what she did, and later becoming a spokesperson for the feminist revolution against pornography by claiming that her performance in Deep Throat constituted rape. Approaching middle age and penniless, she desperately cashes in on her fame by appearing nude in an train of Playboy.

Harry Reems, the hot, young male star who, at the last moment, shed his title as a production assistant to become the considerable object of Linda’s affections, initially enjoyed celebrity, but found fame and recognition fleeting. Deep Throat had branded him, and he found it impossible to be taken seriously as an actor. Harry faced serious jail time in a federal trial, and spiraled downwards into alcoholism and drug abuse when he couldn’t bag any feeble acting jobs.

Of course, the advent of the VCR in the gradual seventies meant that people could seek adult movies in the privacy of their occupy homes, and the proper crusade against hard-core adult entertainment in movie theatres somewhat tempered. Sharply edited, with a mammoth sense of pacing, and often very amusing, Inside Deep Throat is recommended for anyone who lived through the freewheeling, hedonistic days of the seventies. The movie also serves as a reminder that the culture wars, social morality, and issues of censorship are mild as relevant today as they were thirty years ago. Mike Leonard February 05.

If you’re extinct enough to have seen DEEP THROAT when it was first released in 1972, then the documentary INSIDE DEEP THROAT will perhaps be a rewarding streak down Nostalgia Lane (assuming your memory cells weren’t fried by all the sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll of the 60s) .

DEEP THROAT was the first porn film exhibited in public theaters, and the first to be viewed openly by mixed couples, undoubtedly elbowing out the raincoat crowd. It was produced for $25,000; to date, it’s grossed $600 million, and is the most good, independently produced film of all time. Oh, and it’s centerpiece attraction was actress Linda Lovelace fellating a goofy doctor character, played by Harry Reems, who’s diagnosed Linda’s character as having her clitoris in her throat. Do you salvage the playful describe?

This film is a montage of archival footage from the era liberally sprinkled with interviews with the principals - producer Gerard Damiano, Lovelace, and Reems - and many others, including Hugh Hefner, Larry Flynt, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, Dick Cavett, conventional porn stars Annie Sprinkle, Georgina Spelvin and Andrea Good, plus authors, feminists, and the right eagles that argued their respective sides in the lawful battle that ultimately found scapegoat Reems guilty on obscenity charges. (Damiano and Lovelace had court immunity.)

The roughly 90+ itsy-bitsy film summarizes DEEP THROAT’s plan, creation, release, distribution, and co-optation by the Mob, the anti-obscenity furor that the film sparked, and the ultimate acceptance of porn that followed due to it’s wide distribution and availability via the introduction of the home video player around 1979. Mind you, the government anti-obscenity laws that convicted Reems quiet stand; they’ve honest been overwhelmed by indifference and the glut of smut.

Is INSIDE DEEP THROAT graphically sexual? Well, yes and no. It does linger lovingly on that well-known sequence where Linda orally engulfs all of Harry’s member, but otherwise the sex scenes are no more graphic than in other current mainstream releases - MONSTER’S BALL (2001) and IN THE Reduce (2003) reach to mind. That said, however, I have to own that the rating board would have assigned an “X” instead of an “NC-17″, based solely on the indicate of Linda’s swallowing ability, if the ragged category was smooth in existence. Unless, of course, the board believes Bubba’s Oval Office Oral Copulation Postulate, which is that the act isn’t really “sex”. Positive fooled me.

This documentary may illustrate the incompatibility in the genre between then and now. In the 70s, porn actors and actresses seemed to be having more fun, and there was a distinct relative innocence to it all missing in today’s productions, which are cranked out in volume to maximize profits, and in which the performers labor joylessly to maximize the raunch for sheer shock value. “Debbie Does the Entire 1st Marine Division In One Night” - who cares?

Perhaps the most telling (and pathetic) point was made in a contemporary interview with Larry Parrish, the Memphis prosecutor who successfully convicted Reems under anti-smut laws extant in 1976 (only to have the verdict overturned on a technicality by a federal district court in ‘77) . He wistfully observed that if the troublesome Al Qaeda terrorists would only go away, then the government could then refocus its energies on the more meaningful battle against porn. Puhleeze! God achieve us from the morality zealots of any ilk, Muslim or Christian! Perhaps “Debbie” needs to reveal Parrish a first-rate time.

Whether or not you are a fan of Choose Zombie’s music or films is irrelevant, The Shocked World of El Superbeasto is a pure blast. If you can, imagine Fritz the Cat minus the political commentary and double the nudity and violence, as Zombie adapts his have humorous to mumble the legend of professional wrestling orderly celebrity Beasto (voiced by Tom Papa) who is on a never ending adventure of action and babes. He and his hot, Nazi-zombie hunting sister Suzi X (voiced by Sheri Moon Zombie) embark on a quest to rescue foul-mouthed stripper Velvet Von Dusky (voiced by Rosario Dawson) from marrying wanna-be world conquerer Dr. Satan (voiced by Paul Giamatti) . In the middle of all this are plenty of “I can’t bear what I impartial saw” moments, blink-and-you’ll-miss-them visual gags, hilarious songs and music, and plenty of fascinating graphic ultraviolence; so grand so that you can’t attend but like what you catch here. Yes, as you can probably dispute by now, The Petrified World of El Superbeasto isn’t for everyone, but if any of the aforementioned sounds titillating in the least, you are almost guaranteed to savor this tantalizing flick, regardless whether or not you’re a Seize Zombie fan. Also featuring announce work from Zombie regulars Brian Posehn, Ken Foree, Geoffrey Lewis, and cameos from Sid Haig and Bill Moseley in their House of 1000 Corpses/Devil’s Rejects roles.

After a mammoth many years in plan and production, apprehension director/artist/metal legend/all-around terrible mofo Engage Zombie hath finally bequeathed unto us his gripping masterwork “The Tremulous World of El Superbeasto”. Was it worth the wait? Well, it’s a mixed bag to say the least, but if I told you I didn’t have a tremendous time I’d be lying to you. What we have here is a bent legend of stupidity that bombards you with cartoon breasts and behinds, potty humor, racial caricatures, homages and cameos from every corner of the entertainment universe, a truly bizarre comedic soundtrack that sounds like a collaboration between Tenacious D and Flight of the Conchords, and general Engage Zombie madness like you’ve never ever EVER seen before. What’s the record? Who cares? It’s expressionless. This film is about chaotic, childish glee. It begins with a classic black-and-white Universal depart by giving us a beneficial warning that what we are about to gawk may horrify us. He’s not sinful, but the movie is far from scary in the obsolete sense. It takes on an animation style similar to Ren & Stimpy and utilizes devices and sound effects from all of the innocent classic cartoons we grew up watching. Then all the girls retract off their clothes and utilize prehensile female anatomy in ways that invent you embarrassed to be watching then you view your well-liked dismay characters and catch all blissful and then all the tailkicking starts and there’s Nazi werewolves (Zombie really likes Nazis..and werewolves…and especially Nazi werewolves) and zombies and Nazi zombies and they have their fill theme song and then there’s more boobs and this transforming robot that’s all horny for this awesome chick who prefer Hitler’s pickled head and Superbeasto is a luchador who shoves a cat down his pants so he has a bulge and there is Dr Satan who is really a nerd and has a talking gorilla with a screw in his head then all this stuff happens and it’s crazy as fu…….[deep breath]…..Yeah, so this flick gets a bit crazy at times.

So I consider we’ve established that the humor in this one is decidedly lowbrow. Let’s talk homages, references, and cameos. It’s heavenly powerful the biggest blueprint here unless you are one to pleasure yourself to cartoons (which is okay, as a song in the movie informs us, because Japanese people do it every day….nice) . Plenty of dismay icons ranging from Dr Phibes to the Bride of Frankenstein and The Flit as well as characters from Zombies’ gain films, but then there’s references to everything from Benny Hill and Jerry Lewis to Charlie Chaplin (who Beasto mixes up with Hitler) and movies like Taxi Driver and Planet of the Apes. Other comical cameos of price include Courtney Admire, the Olsen Twins, and a featured role for Michael Myers…..as street pizza. This is an infinitesimal sampling. Honestly, aside from the sheer hooked insanity the massive unending pile of homages and cameos are what is going to hold your interest for the tubby hour and twenty. This has to be some kind of represent. Eat it, Tarantino!

Voice cast. Awesome. Rosario Dawson lets soar some of the most staggeringly ignorant ebonics you’ve ever heard onscreen. Normally, I’m unimpressed by this cheap style of humor, but in this particular setting it did the trick for me. The Mexican caricatures, however, go down as a fail in spite of the ample man-god Danny Trejo lending his advise. Getting a precise Mexican to play a caricature impartial doesn’t sound droll, I guess. Tom Papa is graceful considerable The Man playing the title character. He has a really classic scream and delivers the lines with the perfect amount of sleaze and glee. Rob’s wife Sheri Moon Zombie was born to be a hiss actress. As cute as she is onscreen, when she’s reduced to unbiased a affirm to an racy caricature her mammoth personality is honest unbelievably charming. Again, grand thumbs up for the cast.

Throw in some self-referential humor (including a song that plays during an homage scene stolen from a classic scare film that laments the cliche parody and asks if they got permission to do it) more cartoon boobs and ebonics slang, and even more cameos and references and that fine distinguished sums it up. The special features are a few minutes of extremely brief deleted scenes (one has Leatherface in it) and a very long site of unfinished alternate scenes. I’d have hoped for at least a commentary or making of after all the delays but whatever, Zombie. “The Frightened World of Superbeasto” is a substantial time if you’re looking for a cartoon to preserve as far away from your children/parents/grandparents/girlfriends as possible. You may not gain away with all of your brain cells intact, but you’ll probably leave with a smile. A uninteresting, humdrum smile.

3 1/2 stars rounded up because I have a strong hurry to notice this again. Soon.

Originally, I wasn’t going to write an online review about this film. Mainly because it came out, over a decade ago. However, I feel the need to defend it, from most of these other reviews. Therefore, I will account for two significant points. 1) Alot of people loathe this film for the dialog. The film is based on people who are frustrated with the directions of their lives and the deterioration of their envioronment ( aka:hood ) . The profanity might be abundant in the script, but it was coming from characters who vented their frustrations, that plot. Not everyone in the hood cusses. But John Singleton’s characters, do. Nobody protested Martin Scorcese’s Goodfellas. I’m obvious not every Italian cusses. 2) Alot of people say that there’s too many things going on, in the movie. John Singleton said, in the commentary, that he deliberately, filmed that scheme. He was trying to cappture the realism of everyday life and exemplify the fact that things are tranquil happening, irregardless of the problems of our central characters. Personally, I judge John Singleton, did a phenominal job of juggling other delimas, from the side characters, without sacrificing the importance, of the dynamics between Justice and Lucky. Another director would’ve totally blown the task, altogether. As for the dvd, it offers a director’s commentary ( which some reviewers, obviously didn’t eye ) and previews of other Singleton, films. The film’s theme is simple : Fancy can conquer all. All acting performances are obedient and the soundtrack is edifying ( obsolete and modern school, atleast in ‘93 ) . * The featured cameo appearances, of Mayu Angelo, The Last Poets, and the dedicated acting from Tupac Shakur and Regina King, cement “Poetic Justice”,into a principal and unforgettable film.

All I ever remember hearing about this movie when it came out is how unpleasant it was overall, or how Janet and Tupac didn’t act very well. Advance to earn out, they were horrible. This movie is very well made, and Janet and Tupac work wonderfully together. The film is very shaded at parts, then can turn around and be “abrasive” because of the language and subject material — but don’t be erroneous, the movie more accurately depicts the people and places where the movie occurs because of this “abrasiveness.”

The poems that Justice (Janet) reads/writes throughout the film were all done by Maya Angelou, who makes a cameo in the movie too (I was sort of jumpy to glimpse her in it) . Poetic Justice is a very righteous film, but be warned there is language, “sexual situations” (delicate aloof though), and violence. If you like Jan. or Tupac, then you’ll most likely really like the film, and even if you don’t have a thing for either, you will mild be thoroughly entertained. It’s a extraordinary movie if you can handle the subjects keen.

“A Tiny Case of Abolish” represented a welcome change of walk in 1938 for Edward G Robinson whereby he was able to send up his gangster image. Robinson plays Remy Marcos, a bootlegger during prohibition who goes straight with its repeal and into the legitimate brewery business. The only plight is that his beer tastes lousy and business is dreadful now that the suckers are not forced to catch his product through strong arm tactics.

The film was written by Damon Runyon, among others, and it reflects this with the slang and wealth of “miniature” characters which maintain the film. The premise of the crook trying to go straight is a intellectual inferior for the hilarious comedy which follows, including Remy’s wife Ruth Donnelly, flicking between highbrow talk and slang as she goes up market and estimable abet from Allen Jenkins, Ed Brophy and others as thugs who have to toe the line. Even one of the Lifeless Demolish Kids appears as the child from the Orphanage Remy grew up in and chosen to exhaust a month in Remy’s house. The scene at the orphanage with Margaret Hamilton, “Ain’t changed a bit, as slick as a horse hair couch” says Remy to her, is as comic as anything in any film of the thirties. Also, the scene when the boys discuss the disposal of 4 stupid bodies is side splitting. As the location progresses, the jokes pile up, one after another, never letting up suitable to the proper accomplish.

The DVD print is good and there is the usual estimable list of extras which Warner Brothers offer on their DVDs. The documentary commentary is more spellbinding than the hesitant and repetitive drone of the verbal commentary which can be played with the film. A pity too, because the commentator has some worthwhile observations to do and places the film squarely in its context of the 1938 Warner Brother’s production line.

If the DVD is purchased as share of the Warner’s Tough Guys Collection of which it is the forgotten gem, it is titanic value.

“A Little Case of Cancel” led me to comparisons with “Arsenic and Veteran Lace”. Maybe it’s the bothersome corpses, the underworld characters, the clueless relatives, or the bumbling law enforcement characters but there is definitely a similarity. Most of all, the similarity is that the movies are quite silly and very delicious. “Arsenic and Extinct Lace” scores higher in my book due to the quality of the acting, directing and writing but both are well worth the time. Most people are aquainted with “Extinct Lace” and, if not, it’s fairly available . This was the first oppotunity I had to recognize “A Diminutive Case of Slay”.

The best fraction of ASCOM is the preformance of Edward G. Robinson; one of the tremendous actors of the 30’s and 40’s. He plays a reliable “heavy” yet fits fair in with the humor. The only other name in the cast that I recognized was the wisenheimer sidekick character actor Allen Jenkins. The place, written in share by Damon Runyon, has a Prohibition bootlegger go legitimate after booze was legalized again. When the bootlegger (Robinson) had a monopoly, it didn’t matter what his beer tasted like. Once the professionals got wait on into the market, no one wanted his sign. So the money problems mount up, he’s in debt, his daughter is going to secure married and he has to pay off his loan or lose everything. The stage is location for a lot of tantalizing twists and turns.

If ASCOM has a short coming (and this wouldn’t have mattered worthy succor in 1937) it’s that some of what we are asked to earn is a bit too noteworthy. I’m distinct fans of “CSI” would have a fit with the outcome. However, the movie puts us in a mood to relax and indulge in so why bother with such details. “A Petite Case of Destroy” is one of those films I like to call a retro-sleeper.

Ok, in general the Gundam series has always been a common of mine. first off it has some titanic action sequences and a nice epic line thats not TOO hard to fallow if your a littel unusual to the Gundam series… but all in all i must say that the american DVD release of Modern Mobile Report: Gundam Flit was a welcome stare! even though this particular DVD is not out yet i DO maintain the First one and it is something every gundam fan should fill if you can’t derive the subtitled episodes from Japan that is :)

The first Gundam Cruise dvd started with a bang, and finished with a revelation about who Relena really is. This dvd continues where the last left off with Relena’s return to earth. But when OZ tries to acquire Relena out of the report will Heero status the mission first, or give in to his feelings for her?

The first episode is worthy, but the second episode has in my understanding the first Spacious location twist in the series. The Gundam pilots are manipulated by OZ into destroying the same kind of people they’re supposed to protect, and this allows OZ to open a world-wide revolution. The Earthsphere Alliance were creampuffs compared to OZ, and now we know why. The Treize Assassination deals with the aftermath of the previous episode, but the staunch high point is Wu Fei’s confrontation with Treize. But is Treize really as unpleasant as he seems?

One of my accepted episodes in the entire Gundam Soar series is episode 9, Portrait of a Ruined Country. This episode focuses primarily on Zechs and his simultaneous attempt to free his home country and master the awesome Mobile Suit Tallgeese. We already know that Zechs is the greatest non-Gundam pilot on earth, but when he first tries to pilot Tallgeese…he nearly dies. The speech he makes about objective what exactly the Tallgeese is should NOT be missed, to say nothing of the AWESOME battle scene where he first tries it out. And to top it all off, at the raze of the episode Zechs takes off his veil.

And of course it would be cruel of me not to mention the last episode to be found on the dvd, where Heero and Zechs duel for the first time.

This is a enormous series for people who like Mecha, and Gundam fans in particular. And if you esteem the first few discs, preserve getting more! The series unprejudiced better and better as it goes along (in character development, action scenes, animation quality, and unbiased dead overall greatness) .
