Customer Reviews:

CPA/Controller5
Having worked as an accountant for over 35 years, I can uncategorically endorse Canon calculators as the best available. I have tried many different brands and have found the touch, clearness of display, and reliability of Canon products to be the best around.

Good Office Machine5
We are perfectly happy with the Canon calculator. The key strokes are soft and it’s easy to operate. If I HAD to change something about the machine it would be the font on the print out. It’s not as easy to read as previous Canon machines we’ve had.
It is important to us to have the same, or very similar, machines through out the office, as we are invariably at someone elses desk when a call comes in to “calculate” something for a customer. We tried one of the 1400 series machines and found it to be complicated in that the “sleep” function was annoying and to clear out previous totals was near impossible. (Yes, we read the instructions)
Living in a small town we have limited resources. It’s not unusual to hear “they don’t make that anymore” when shopping here. So, I was thrilled to find the same brand and model calculator we use throughout the office through Amazon.

good commercial calculator4
We use these at work - at our CPA office. They are fast and sturdy. Great for commercial, high use purposes. Only drawback is the size. They are large and clunky for transporting when we go to a clients office. Otherwise I’d give it 5 stars.

Olympus 11-22mm f/2.8-3.5 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens + Deluxe Accessory Kit Description:

The Zuiko Digital 11-22 millimeter f2.8-3.5 (equivalent to 22-44 millimeter on a 35 millimeter film camera) features two aspherical glass lenses that minimize distortion, spherical aberration and “Koma” aberration. A new multi-coating process applied to the first two lenses helps remove ghosting and glare, problems often associated with wide-angle lenses. The 11-22 millimeter focusing system also utilizes a floating mechanism to deliver sharp, high contrast images up to the lens’ closest focusing distance, 0.28 millimeter (11.02 inches) at any zoom setting.Zuiko digital specific lenses are designed specifically for digital capture with smart technology that delivers edge-to-edge sharpness with reduced distortion and shading. The lenses are designed to perfectly match the imager so light strikes the sensor directly, ensuring rich, accurate colors, sharp contrasts, and bright images even at the edges. Zuiko digital specific lenses deliver higher resolutions, faster aperture speeds and focusing, and more compact sizes than equivalent 35 millimeter lenses.Zuiko digital specific lenses are based on the new FourThirds System, an open standard for digital SLR cameras and interchangeable lens systems that utilize a 4/3-type image sensor. The FourThirds System is designed to achieve an optimal balance between image quality, camera and lens size, and system expandability. The system maximizes the performance of image sensors and lenses with a 100 percent digital-from-the-ground-up design.

I’ll never forget the first time I saw this movie. The quality I was most struck by was it’s darkness. I was very young & didn’t realise at the time that I was watching one of the best examples in the history of cinema of film noir(nightmare noir even) .Darkness, darkness…even the scenes spot during the day feel sunless. Many of my fellow film lovers have already provided a synopsis so I won’t bother you with yet another. Suffice to say this a superbly acted thriller with blooming elements of melodrama & a knockout climax. I’ve seen Barbra Stanwyck & Burt Lancaster in SO many films, but this is the one I retain coming attend to. Feel the darkness, luxuriate in the rain, live the nightmare…

In “Sorry, Unfriendly Number”, Barbara Stanwyck turns in one of the many memorable performances that made her the Queen of Noir. Leona (Barbara Stanwyck) is the injurious daughter of a pharmaceutical magnate, now a demanding invalid wife to Henry Stevenson (Burt Lancaster), who must live every moment to please her. One evening she overhears a telephone conversation between two men plotting a slay. Haunted by the call, alone in her sizable apartment, and increasingly stunned when her husband doesn’t near home from work, Leona uses the only means she has to communicate with the outside world: the telephone. She calls everyone she can mediate of to acquire her husband, but what she learns only makes her more anxious as to his fate and her gain.

“Sorry, Infamous Number” is based on a common radio play by Lucille Fletcher, who also wrote a current based on the play and the screenplay for this film. Leona’s confinement to her apartment, where her only means of figuring out what is going on is a telephone, is one of the most effective uses of isolation in cinematic history. Leona isn’t a sympathetic character. But her physical and emotional isolation is so palpable that it’s unnerving. She can’t control what’s happening to her. Her insular, dependent lifestyle has left her paranoid. So it’s hard to say if anything is happening to her at all. Is paranoia with justification level-headed paranoia? And who were the mysterious men on the phone talking about? Where is her husband? The fact that the audience doesn’t know the answers to those questions any more than Leona does makes “Sorry, Sinister Number” a obliging thriller and a masterpiece of empathy in the service of suspense.

I should have known when I saw this was a follow on from Fairytopia that I would be disappointed. This is the record of Elina, who in the movie Fairytopia saved her country of Fairytopia and gained her wings. In this she is sent an urgent message from the Prince of Mermaidia (who briefly appeared in Fairytopia) who asks for her to aid him. The movie is chubby of the trials and tribulations she goes through for him, along with his girlfriend Nori. I put a question to it is deliberate they have named the Mermaid heroine after Japanese Edible seaweed but it seems ill-considered.

Anyway - the marvelous things about the movie, it is brightly coloured, and the costumes for the characters are fair, when Elina becomes a mermaid she looks objective splendid. There are really nice messages in this - about overcoming jealousy, selflessness, sharing and the power of team work. Some of these messages are laid on with a trowel, but on the other hand it is for young children and I reflect the message needs to be strong. And lets acquire steady here, the movies aren’t aimed at adults. However I thinksome of hte best movies are those that can easily be watched by Adults and children together - and the best Barbie movie (I mediate) was Princess and the Pauper where I serene pick up it easy to sit down with my kids and leer it. I wish Barbie movies would gather aid to that sort of capable, singing fun.

the things I found difficult is that although there was a strong basic chronicle (getting the immunity berry) the whole thing was quite confusing for my under 5 year olds. There is so considerable going on that they fast lost track of what was happening and who was who. There were too many characters and they all seemed to have marketing tie-ins - lots of mer-ferry’s, snails, mermaids, turtles, dolphins - the list went on and on. The overall chronicle which seemed to commence it all seemed a traditional belief from the launch. Some of the characters faces were too moving. In the early Barbie movies there collected seemed to be a semblance of reality, but the merferries and so on did seem oddly characterised, almost like Japanese Anime. Perhaps it is something children like, but I pick the outmoded animation, certainly the mix of the two was unsettling at times. Lastly, there is a moment when Elina and Nori net marks of courage which notice like tatoos - call me conservative, but I don’t want my under 5 year dilapidated even thinking a tatoo is icy - no matter what execute it takes.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Barbie Fairytopia: Mermaidia! Click Here

There were some genuinely worthy moments in this film and despite its faults my children have watched it a couple of times, but it doesn’t really interest them in the map that the early dancing ones (swan lake for instance or Princess and the Pauper) I really hope the next movie planned is one of these sort.

I caught this today with my 4-year-old daughter on the Cut premier, and she loved it. And honestly, it wasn’t too difficult for me to sit through either. Having seen, and owning, every Barbie movie that has near down the chute, I can say that this was by far the best of them, and will be picking it up on release day for myself.. er, my daughter.

This is ADVision’s re-release of the current 3-disc release of Tsukihime by Geneon Entertainment. The packaging says Sentai Filmworks, which is a unusual business name of ADVision, after they had financial difficulties last year.

This is a 2-disc plot but don’t let that danger you. Although very rare for anime re-releases, here the DVD MPEG2 video quality has surprisingly been re-authored from scratch. It’s a whole recent encode and is noticeably better video quality than Geneon’s version. The bitrate averages around 7 megabits/s which is the ADVision standard. Most of Geneon’s titles averaged around 6 megabits/s, including Tsukihime. Furthermore, most of Geneon’s titles suffer from after-image motion-blurring “ghosting” problems in the video encode, which are particularly severe on shadowy scenes and were very noticeable in all 3 modern volumes of Tsukihime. Also, volumes 1 and 2 (not volume 3) of the current Tsukihime release suffered from improperly-encoded interlacing issues, which isn’t approved to Geneon releases in general.

None of those problems exist in ADVision’s encode. ADVision video encodes have been consistent and among the best in the R1 anime industry since they started doing their encoding in-house (so my comments don’t necessarily apply to their older DVD titles that were authored by M.O.F.C, etc) .

Buy,Download, Or Stream Lunar Legend Tsukihime: Complete Collection! Click Here

Now, as to the video Roar, it’s the accurate same as the mature Geneon release. Which is perfect. By this I mean that the English cast credits which are hardcoded into the video list the same Geneon relate actors, Japanese production crew, etc, and in the valid same font, as the traditional Geneon release. It is objective the MPEG2 video quality that has been re-encoded.

The audio direct is the staunch same as the old-fashioned Geneon release as well. Meaning that you pick up both the Japanese subtitled version and the valid same English dub using the Geneon/Bang Zoom philosophize actors. The subtitles are based on the Geneon subtitles as well but have been slightly edited in many places, mostly minor changes, sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. Determined misspellings were carried over though (”yakasoku” in the ending song lyrics) so that is how we can be distinct.

The subtitle font has been changed to match ADVision’s standard font, which some people might not consume. I personally select their font to the Geneon font archaic in Tsukihime. However, the Geneon font matches up better with the Geneon cast credits which have been hardcoded into the OP/ED sequences.

The menus are changed completely, which should be of no surprise (the typical DVD collection re-release tends to change the menus and slash the number of discs, but often keeps the proper same video encodes, which is usually possible because most R1 DVDs kill over a third of a DVD-9’s disc dwelling) .

The trace is handsome hefty for a collection re-release, but in my idea it was well worth the money I spent even though I already owned the Geneon DVDs, due to the better video quality.

Customer Reviews:

YGWYPF: Never been more apt4
First off, I think everyone is being a little critical of this machine. I recently picked it up at a local retailer in Dallas for less than two benjamins, so maybe if some of those people had gotten it at THAT price point, they might have a different tune. But I digress. First the weak points.

Cons:

1. Yes, the keyboard is awful. 1/3 size right shift key is certainly a deal-breaker for some: I know personally it’s how I capitalize and it’s nearly impossible on this unit without training yourself not to hit the ‘end’ key instead. It’s also flimsy and overall cheap feeling, they certainly didn’t put much thought into it, but it works for short data entry. Wouldn’t want to type something this long on it though.

2. There’s no blank dummy card for the media reader. Better keep your dust and spills to a minimum, it’s certainly exposed.

3. There is no LCD latch. Say goodbye to securely closed lid, and hope to god the hinges never start to get loose.

4. It ships /w Open Office. I don’t consider this bloatware, and I love open source, but this suite will NEVER replace good ol Office. EVER. It should have just been an option to install from CD or whatever.

5. The battery life isn’t what is claimed. In my tests, I could get to 4 hours and some change of straight use, but that’s with wifi OFF, no ethernet, no multimedia, minimal multitasking, and letting it go into standby if I had to go to the bathroom or got distracted by something else. You will NOT EVER get 6 hours out of these batteries. They should have just come clean on this. Maybe I really need to fully charge/discharge it a few more times, but I get the feeling what other people say about this is true. Also, charging three hours just to get three hours (or so)? That’s pretty lame.

6. Velocity. Why is it a con? Because who knows them? No one. Will they honor the warranty? Who knows. Will the battery erupt in hell flames? Could happen. Will the thing crack and break in half in less than a month? A possibility. I simply don’t know what to expect in the future of this device.

7. As expected, BIOS options are practically non-existent. That’s to be expected, but still disappointing. If you like being able to change your date and time, you’ll be in heaven. Anything else… well…..nope.

8. Included documentation is kind of a joke. Beyond teaching the basics of what a touchpad IS, they also tell you such helpful things as what the Fn keys does, and how to turn your laptop on and off. That’s about it.

9. Speakers. At max volume it’s tinny and shallow. I didn’t expect them to be fantastic, but they are no more than glorified earbuds embedded in the side of the case.

Pros:

1. It ships with -ZERO- bloatware! Thank god, no spending an hour or two removing crappy trials of software you never wanted.

2. It’s quick as all get out. With no bloatware to slow it down, and ‘adjusting for best performance’ /w visual effects (keeping the theme of course) this little machine is extra snappy, even with spreadsheets, webpages, hamachi, VPN, outlook, virus protection, and other stuff running. I’m still thrilled such modest specs can produce such surprising speed.

3. Stable wireless. Alot of netbooks are plagued by somewhat flaky WLAN, this unit has been solid, picking up access points further away than my other computers can, and having more bars in more places (where did that come from?)

4. It’s not NEARLY as thick and bulky as it looks in the marketing photos. When I went out ot look at this, I was really expecting a sub-notebook, kind of clunky and bigger than most netbooks. It’s not. For whatever reason most of the photos of it make it look about 30-40% larger than it is. It’s very light and very small.

5. VGA PORT! Some netbooks are leaving this out now. Give me a break. You have to have this, and this does.

6. I think this is clever but some people might find it annoying. In a bid to save battery life, the laptop, upon reboot, always shuts the WIFI OFF. That way, unless you need it, it’s not on, sucking juice. It did, of course, confuse me the first time I rebooted and my wireless wasn’t working anymore.

7. The included case. Some might think it’s cheesy, but I think it’s a good admission on their part. They know this is a fragile product, and you should not treat it like a toy. Keeping the overall price point low by including a case, however cheap, is a good marketing strategy if you ask me. Now if they had included a little mouse too, I would really been impressed. And it may be cheap, but it still looks nice and will offer decent protection from scratches and scuffs.

In-betweens:

1. Webcam. It’s been a looonnnggg time since I’ve actually used one. I think my first was a logitech quickcam, you know the one. This one has a MUCH better one, at least in terms of still images. There is still alot of ghosting during motion.

Overall, in terms of value, this netbook is incredible. It’s got some quirks, but I can overlook them, and maybe you can too. Hope this helps.

It takes some time to get used to it4
I bought this to have something on the go that can last a long time and it does that. I did have problems trying to get online, but function F1 fixed that right up for me. Besides that getting used to the smaller keyboard takes all of an hour or so. As for the speed, its quick enough. Just wondering if upgrading the speed will be worth it on this little guy. Long story short, it looks good, the case is nice and it came quick. Thanks.

Some issues, but overall very usable so far.4
I bought one of these from a local retailer, open box. The previous owner only had it for a single day before returning it, so I was expecting some kind of trouble. It didn’t take long to realize why they returned it, but the problems were easily fixable on my own end. The item had been pre-installed with Windows XP32, but not all of the drivers were properly installed.

The biggest problem was that neither the WLAN nor the Ethernet drivers were installed. The included driver DVD also did not have any drivers for Ethernet or WLAN that worked on XP, so I was forced to look around for hours to find the correct drivers on my other computer while not knowing the specifics of the components (not not listed anywhere). Fortunately, the USB drivers were installed so once found, I could put it on my flash drive. For anyone searching for “Velocity Micro Notemagix M10 Wireless Drivers,” the needed driver is for the VIA VT6656 WLAN, which is available in a rather out-of-the-way spot in Velocity’s support page, or through VIA.

Once that was done, the video and SMBus drivers were simple through Intel’s little tools on their support page. The chipset is a 945GME Express, if you’re looking for those drivers. The audio and Ethernet drivers will be picked up through “Reinstall Drivers” from Device Manager once you have the WLAN working.

Many people have complained about the battery life, but they need to keep in mind that “6 hours” is the absolute maximum you will get, with volume muted, wireless turned off, no extra peripherals, etc. I managed to get 4 hours unplugged with a USB mouse, volume at 70%, wireless on, watching videos, so it is by no means abysmal. If you plan to be out for a while, pack the cord in your purse/backpack/briefcase. There’s no way you would walk around for too long with the netbook alone, even with the cute carrying case as it lacks a handle/strap, so tossing the cord in too is reasonable.

Now, I assume that my experience was a rather uncommon case, and once I resolved the issues through my impressive computer savvy-ness I was quite impressed with the little bugger. It starts up quickly, runs well enough, and keeps the large left shift that I usually use for typing caps. It’s very small and light with an acceptable screen size. Like most laptops, it does tend to get rather hot if you’re using it on your lap. However, it’s the HDD and RAM that heat up and not the battery, so the likelihood of a battery failure due to temperature seems low enough. The battery is also simple to eject, so if you absolutely have to be out and about without any chance to plug in for an extended period, it is simple enough to carry an extra battery.

There are no extras to mutter of except for some biographical info (some improper) but the film looks surprisingly pleasurable, especially if you boost the shaded level on your player. AVOID THE OTHER VERSIONS. The Master Movies version is the one with the non-descript grey cloak with a cramped portray of Nicholson. No extras, blah camouflage, suitable portray for a public domain film.

WARNING to anyone thinking of purchasing the D-Vision DVD edition of THE TERROR: It is not the letterbox edition touted in Amazon’s writeup (my sole reason for ordering it) . REPEAT: It is not widescreen; it is in full-screen format, and appears to have been mastered from an EP VHS source.

So the commercials all promote Jackie Chan and Jet Li. What they neglect to do is mention, I dunno, the **main character** of the film, a young Boston kid named Jason Tripitikas (played by Michael Anganaro) .

So the movie’s basically a kid film. You have a reluctant hero who gets sent to a fantasy version of China, and along the plot he learns martial arts and Eastern philosophy.

What did I like about it? The fight scenes are, for the most fraction, astonishing. They commence off a slight used, come by better over time, and then score absolutely amazing when you have both Jet Li and Jackie Chan in the film. The fight scenes are weakest when there’s too remarkable CGI in them — but most of them are purely physical, and quite noble.

The Chinese fantasy aspects are authentic, if not moral (worthy in the same diagram the HBO series Rome is not a completely good recounting of events, but an authentic recreation of the tone of weak Rome) . They throw in things like The Monkey King and his golden staff, soldier monks, drunken immortals and even The Bride With White Hair. And the Chinese philosophy, for those familiar with it, is status on.

Jackie Chan and Jet Li are wonderful not only as fighters, but comedically as well. (There’s a scene provocative rain that had absolutely everyone in the theater laughing hard.) Anganaro puts in a surprising turn physically — he looks like he got a lot of martial training. Yifei Liu is heartbreakingly stunning.

It’s probably a slight scary for young kids — there is some intense violence in the beginning, for instance. And there are sappy moments, as you would inquire for a kid’s film. But it means well. I have to say that I had a bit of effort making out the English of some of the Chinese actors sometimes, tho — and I’m Chinese-American! I concern others might have even worse problems.

Still, overall, I liked it.

Pop……..POP…. POPOPOPOPOPOPOPOPOP!

Ok hold that popcorn out of the microwave, grab your cola, and space the lights down rude and glean ready for some kung-fu action.

At first contemplate, the movie seems to be corpulent oh wired choreographed fight scenes which I splendid noteworthy disapprove. But the movie took the scenes and made them `ok’. It was like it was telling us “Yes, we know you know it’s wires, but you and we are ok with it”. And I was. It starts with The Monkey King kicking some butt up on top of a false looking mountain top, and then *poof* we acquire out that it was all but a dream. Jason Tripitikas wakes up and heads to his current pawn shop down in Chinatown to prefer up some more kung-fu movies. As Jason is heading out of Chinatown, he gets stopped by some local thugs/bullies. They construct fun of him about his kung-fu movies and then explain him some of their fill fighting style. After the beat down they exclaim him to choose them to the pawn shop so they can take the dwelling. The former man, quick-witted a few moves himself, takes it to them, but only cheated out of the grace of fighting like a man, by a single bullet. Jason runs from the thugs with a staff that the used man hands him. As Jason tries to gather away, he falls and lands…

…in a different world in a different time. He comes across a man named Lu Yan (Chan) who tells him about his staff. That it once belonged to noteworthy man named The Monkey King. The Monkey King was tricked into a non attractive fight and before the King was imprisoned he sent his staff away so that someone could reach rescue him with it. They acquire it’s Jason, but is it? As they go to where the Monkey King is imprisoned they near across Golden Sparrow. A girl seeking revenge for her family’s death. They also advance across The Tranquil Monk (Li), who is also on a mission to free the Monkey King. With their journeys intertwined, we can only hope for some sweet Kung-Fu action. And boy do we catch it.

Jackie Chan vs. Jet Li was truly fun to gawk. We all know it could’ve been Mighty better if they were probably 10 or 15 years younger than they are, but arrive on, it was collected a huge fight scene. Praying Mantis, Snake, Tiger, Crane, all types of Kung-Fu was passe. It was definitely something to explore.

The Monkey King vs. The Jade Emperor, even though CGI enhanced and wire enhanced, was handsome awesome. It made the fact that they were godlike characters more believable. The CG conventional for this was spectacular and looked end to being exact.

And there were many more scenes where Lu Yan, The Soundless Monk, the Golden Sparrow are fighting all types of people. You won’t be bored with a lack of Kung-Fu.

I also liked how there was a white haired woman bounty hunter after them. When she fought her hair became piece of arsenal along with a whip she carried. Now I’ve seen some Kung-Fu flicks with people using their long hair before and the map it seems deceptive, always made it stout. In this movie, when she starts to whip her hair around, it’s CG looking (but once again this does not damage it), until it hits the person. For instance on one scene it’s got Lu Yan grabbing her hair and looks totally untrue, but at the same time incredible. It felt like a throwback to some of the older movies. Man I loved it.

Some people are complaining that this was too kiddy. Well, I can behold where they are coming from because there isn’t a deep narrative here. It did feel like it was more geared towards a `not really having to believe about it’ crowd. And you know what. Superb. I don’t always have to believe about stuff when I’m watching a sterling action flick. I actually had a blast watching this because I consider if it took itself to seriously, most of the fight scenes would have been `eye rolling’ instead of incredible.

In the slay I would say grab this movie up as soon as you can and sit the kids down with a mountainous Papa Johns pizza and have a fun time.

P.S. The plan the myth was state up, with the kid going from reality into an almost storybook sage, to near serve into reality with things he learned… it sort of makes me contemplate of The Never Ending Epic but with Kung-Fu instead of a tremendous flying dog.

I fair got assist from seeing Never Wait On Down and I have to say this movie was awesome! I really was not expecting grand and figured this would be a Fight Club rip off. After watching it it was nothing like I expected and I ended up being really entertained and got in to the whole myth. Sean Faris plays Jake Tyler a high school football player, who is dealing with the guilt of his fathers death. When his mom moves the family to Orlando Jakes fighting and enraged past follow him. He meets a girl named Baja who is being former by her boyfriend Ryan to salvage Jake to fight him. Baja lures Jake to a party only to have Ryan beat him up delicate badly. After being humiliated Jake takes his friend Max’s advice to learn a mixed-martial from a man named Jean Roqua. He will not only learn critical lessons and discipline to deal with his enraged past, but also to decide a win and justify himself. In the tradition of Fight Club, The Still Warrior and a bit of inspiration from The Hasty and The Enraged movies Never Befriend Down is one action packed urge!

NEVER Support DOWN is a teen-action-martial arts drama that has all the ingredients to entertain a VERY specific audience. The film isn’t going to bag awards for its sage, but then again, what martial arts film ever had? The film has a very formulaic and routine storyline but what caught my study are its action sequences. Please brand that this is a review of the film’s “Beat Down” edition that supposedly contains more punches and kicks, more blood and graphic violence.

A young man with an ill temper named Jake Tyler (Sean Faris) has been trying to support his life together with his mother and younger brother after his father`s death. They fade to another town from Iowa so his brother can pursue a tennis scholarship. Once in school, he gets baited by a shapely girl, Baja (Amber Heard), to a party that ended up with Jake getting his head kicked in by the resident “Beat Down” champ Ryan McCarthy (Cam Gigandet) . Frustrated, Jake enlists Max’s (Evan Peters) succor to introduce him to a master of mixed martial arts named Jean Roqua (Djimon Hounsou) with revenge on his mind. After training for sometime in the Dojo, Jake realizes more things about family, discipline and friendship; and more importantly controlling his exasperate. Jake isn’t enthusiastic in fighting anymore. However, now that he’s been training under Roqua, McCarthy is even more fervent to fight Jake…

The film has all the elements we can recount to; family issues, bullying at school, forgiving oneself and atonement. At first impression, I understanding it was unbiased going to be a unpleasant rethread of “The Karate Kid” with honest more action and violence. Well, it actually is a rehash if you reflect about it in regards to its region but the film is quite exciting. The film actually explores the issues that often plague martial artists themselves and explores the relationship between Sensei and apprentice. Jake and Jean developed a current denominator to each other which is their failings in their family. McCarthy is a martial artist without discipline and as a result becomes a brash, arrogant fighter.

The direction by Jeff Wadlow knew what his goals were; and that is to provide popcorn entertainment. While the film does have a very unoriginal premise and frankly, those elements have almost been done to death; Wadlow manages to sustain things slight but focused. The pacing is quite competent enough to hold the viewer enthusiastic and never becomes too ambitious or pretentious by adding excess “rotund” to the film’s simple status. There are some morality issues and quite a lot of preaching about the necessities of forgiving oneself. What helps the film along is that the relationship between Roqua and Jake were convincing enough and I was pleased it took center stage rather than the sappy blossoming “teen appreciate” between Jake and Baja. Fair when does a Sensei know when his student has become the best he can be? When the sensei begins learning from his apprentice.

Now the film’s main diagram would have to be its fight sequences. For a Hollywood flick, I belief it was decently executed. Of course, the fights can never compare to the fight sequences choreographed by the legendary Yuen Woo-Ping or the best of Corey Yuen; but for the most portion it was serene enough to generate some intensity and distress in the proceedings. There is quite a bit of graphic violence in this dvd edition that stays within the realm of mixed martial arts. I credit the director that the managed to sustain the scenes that gain Faris and Gigandet stare estimable and edit out the scenes that do them notice abominable. The fights were decent, and I understanding the encounters were hard-hitting enough for what its worth. Impartial don’t ask the fights to be in the same caliber as Asia’s best martial arts action sequences.

Now, the film does have its portion of problems. The performance by the supporting cast does seem a limited too “wooden” at times. Max provides some of the film’s ‘comic relief’ but you can survey from miles away that he was a simple situation way to station up the film’s final climax. Amber Heard who plays Baja is comely, sexy and sparkling but I believe she had so puny to work with, so I can’t really criticize her acting that powerful. Well, she acted like a girl star-struck by the original boy in town and she does do that. Jake’s Mom and runt brother had exiguous shroud time but they gave Jake more character development than what was provided by visuals alone.

Overall, I notion “Never Serve Down” is an fascinating enough experience. It does play its cards well enough and it stayed focused on its main premise. Distinct, its premise is aesthetic simple and very unoriginal; the stereotypical adore triangle definitely got in the diagram but I guess there has to be something for everyone. Judge it a “Karate Kid” remake that focuses more on its action sequences rather than the drama. The film is blooming routine but it is a worthwhile inspect for action junkies with its abundance of kicks and punches to satisfy that “fix”.

Recommended for action junkies and a superior rental for everybody else. [3 ½ Stars]

BUY THIS HDTV!5
First, allow me to state that I am a long time Sony user (which is widely considered to make the best in televisions and other electronics). Well, this Mitsubishi HDTV can stand “toe to toe” with the Sony line, and it does it at a much lower price.

This television’s High definition picture is awesome, and it’s speakers are more than adequate!!! I have DIRECTV which only offers a 1080i signal (this television has an even better 1080p capability), and I am totally amazed with the crisp and clean picture. The picture is great from any angle and close up. You simply have to see it to believe it (especially if you like sports and movies). The cooling fan is extremely quiet too (can’t hear it at all).

IMPORTANT - It should be understood that this television is made for a HD signal (720p, 1080i, or 1080p). Due to the overwhelming size of the screen, non HD channels seem blurry, and almost not worth watching. So make sure you spend the extra money for the HD channel packages with your cable or satellite company.

On a side note, this model also comes with an easy set up feature. It’s a very nice… you simply plug in your dvd player, satellite receiver, Play Station, Xbox, whatever and it automatically senses it. It will ask you to verify that it is what it thinks it is, and that’s it; no special programming or matching remotes. The television is extremely user friendly!

If you plan on watching predominately high definition channels and movies, buy this tv! You won’t be disappointed!!!

Magic in my living room4
Picture quality is great when you use HD - I have a good up-converter DVD player, and the movies look absolutely stunning. I am one of those backdated guys who is still not subscribed to HD content from my satellite provider and hence watch normal channels. The non-HD content has blurred lines, and poor picture quality, but that should not be counted against this TV as this TV is not designed for clarity while showing non-HD content.

The sound quality is average and muffled, but I route the audio to my home theater system, so I do not use the TV’s audio. So no difference for me. May be because I tested the TV’s audio AFTER getting used to the room shattering home theater system - and that made it sound poorer.

For connecting computers - I was used to the VGA port on my earlier LCD, so slightly disappointed with no such thing here. If you do not have a laptop with DVI output, there is no easy way to connect it to this TV (there is S Video as an option if your laptop has S Video output, but I never liked the picture quality of S Video). That is why I am going to buy a VGA to Component Transcoder and see how it looks. I will update the review with the results.

It has 4 HDMI inputs, technology to watch 3D movies with special glasses on, easy menu, 2 antenna inputs for your cable and local antenna wire, an excellent manual. I was surprised to find that the power chord does not have the 3rd earthing pin - seemed cheap of Mitsubishi to not provide one with such an elite line of product. Overall, it is a grand sight.

Great HDTV!5
Purchased this television based on the many great reviews and definately was not disappointed. Incredible picture right out of the box. Had to make major changes to the audio settings but once completed, good sound as well but would highly recommend using a Surround Sound system to obtain the full benefits of the beautiful huge screen and theatre affects. Absolutely the best deal on an excellent HDTV out there!
